“The Best Place to Stay in Cape Town!”
Our family has traveled to many places around the world, and Pembroke 403 was truly one of the loveliest accommodations we ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious apartment, its contemporary decor, and views of the harbor from the living room and of Table Mountain from the den. We packed a lot of activity into our short visit to Cape Town including the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, the beautiful drive to the Cape of Good Hope, and an equally scenic drive to see the whales in Hermanus. But some of our favorite moments of our visit were sipping excellent South African wine in 403 Pembroke while watching seals in the harbor, and enjoying the peace and luxury of the apartment itself.

Response: Hi Jeff
Thank you for your great review.
It was a real pleasure to interact with you by phone & email right from the moment of your initial enquiry and I feel we almost shared your time in Cape Town. You certainly packed so much in and we were delighted that you were able to follow some of the itineraries that we so enjoy ourselves when we are in Cape Town.
Pembroke 403 is our real treasure and we are always especially thrilled to share it with people like yourself, Barbara and your two daughters, Juliana & Isabella. I hope the memories of both Pembroke 403 and of your Cape & Cape Town experiences will live with you all for many a day.

Cape Town In Style
The location and accommodation cannot be faulted. You will not find a more fitting place to spend your time in Cape Town.
Wow! Wow! Wow!
This is an absolutely amazing apartment. It must be one of the very best apartments in Capetown. It is right on the V&A waterfront and has dual aspect, with balconies facing the sea and the Cape Grace hotel and table mountain and the One and Only Hotel, on the other side and so the views are just wonderful. It's really big and very luxuriously furnished.Everything was really top end. We stayed here in February 2013 and are already talking about a return visit.
We booked directly through the owner, Eilis, who could not have been more helpful or accommodating. She answered all our questions and really wanted to ensure that our holiday in Pembroke 403 was perfect in every way. Restaurant recommendations, day trips, what not to miss, where to get the best coffee, freshly baked breads, steaks, sushi etc were all kindly offered by Eilis and we felt she took a real interest in our holiday.
We loved so much about the apartment, it is hard to know where to start. The two balconies means you have sun all day and right into the evenings. Both have sun loungers and a table and chairs. I loved the bed linens which were specially commissioned from Italy and all the lovely fluffy towels in the three large bathrooms. I loved the views from both big balconies. I loved watching the seals in the bay right in front of the apartment, using the binoculars which Eilis had kindly left there for our use. I loved looking at Table mountain in all its various hues. The art work all over the apartment and the glass is just fabulous. I loved the chairs in the living room which were so comfortable. My husband loved the three gorgeous televisions with every sports channel imaginable. We both enjoyed the location. It was great to just walk over to the waterfront, and it is just a few minutes drive from all the other many Cape Town attractions.
This is a big apartment.Obviously it is perfect for a large group, as it very comfortably sleeps six. I think it would be perfect for two couples who like to travel together, but also like a little privacy. Both suites are large and are at opposite ends of the apartment. The Table Mountain suite is slightly smaller, but it gets lovely afternoon and evening sun and is just so peaceful. Both suites have electronic safes, which is also ideal for 2 groups. The kitchen has everything that you could ever need. We made great use of the picnic basket and cooler box on trips to Cape Point etc. Eilis is a wine expert and importer. She will also advise on trips to various vineyards etc.
We had all the services of a top class hotel, but with the added benefit of complete privacy. We were met by Ozzy, who was available to us for the duration of our stay, if we needed any assistance or advice. He was super, friendly, helpful and always accommodating. Eilis even provided a mobile phone for our use which was really useful to make reservations in restaurants etc.
We had a really wonderful time in Pembroke 403. If you are looking for somewhere really great to stay in while in Cape Town, stay here. We can't wait to go back! Many thanks to Eilis for all her help, enthusiasm and interest.
"Marina Experience"
Walking into the apartment already gave me the holiday feel and once I opened the balcony doors it felt as if I had finally arrived at my opulent breakaway. The apartment was tremendously well equipped with everything that one would require for a truly enjoyable stay. All the rooms are tastefully designed as well as being very user friendly. Being within walking distance of all the marina amenities as well as the bustling V & A Waterfront make this apartment the perfect balance between relaxation and fun in the sun. It fully deserves all 5 stars and I will definitely go back there.
“Luxury at the Marina in Cape Town”
This enormous apartment is beyond luxury and is furnished with both taste and quality.
Overlooking the marina it is also on the edge of the V and A waterfront complex with many excellent restaurants and shops.
There is also fully secure underground parking and the whole complex is totally secure with plenty of security staff.
With unrestricted views of the ocean, sitting on the front patio in the evening is a joy ,and from the rear patio there are fabulous views of table mountain.
This place is not the usual holiday rental but is obviously a well cared for home.
“Luxury home away from home...”
The entire experience staying at Pembroke 403 was very enjoyable. Our flight into Cape Town was delayed, but the management company was keeping track of us and knew we would be late checking in. The apartment itself is spectacular! Comfortable and spacious, and the views are just magnificent. It was a wonderful place to kick back after a hectic day of seeing Cape Town. Eilis and Seamus were very helpful and informative and happy to help with information about Cape Town. The cafe at the gym is a short walk away and was very handy for morning coffee and breakfast. We found the area to be safe and the usual caution re: big cities is required when moving around the city. Access to all the Cape Town spots was easy, either a short walk or drive away. We arranged a taxi on our first night for a dinner in the city and were able to use him all week long. Pembroke 403 offers a great alternative to a hotel stay!
Response: Hi Cameron, Renata
We are both so glad you enjoyed Pembroke 403 as well as your Cape Town trip so much. I trust you had a safe journey back.
We look forward to welcoming back to Pembroke 403 at another time in the not too distant future. Meanwhile, keep well and have a wonderful Christmas.

"Private luxury in a piece of paradise"
We stayed in Pembroke in Febuary this year. We found the appartment on the Internet. The place is just amazing with easy access to the waterfront and fantastic security. If you have heard its dangerous in certain parts of South Africa, this isn't one of them. We are a family of 4, two boys 12 and 15. The boys could wander over on their own to the waterfront without any thoughts of safety.
The people running the whole thing are just wonderful, very helpful and extremely efficient. We had a problem with the Internet they came over immediately and fixed it. The whole place is like a home away from home and I can recommend it most sincerely. We had a small glitch which had nothing to do with Pembroke, they recommended a dry cleaner, they turned out to be not great. Would we stay there again? Most certainly!!
Response: Many thanks Philippe for your kind remarks about your stay at our beautiful 5 star property at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
I am so glad you enjoyed it as much we would have liked for you. We do try very hard to make our guests stay at Pembroke 403 as enjoyable and seamless as possible.
I am also particularly glad that you emphasised the high level of safety - it is perhaps the one thing that people who have never visited Cape Town have some concerns about. Since we started to visit the Cape in 1998, we have never experienced any security issues though, as anywhere in the world, one should always exercise common sense. The fact that Pembroke 403 is within a very short walking distance of so many amenities for all ages makes it a perfect location highlighted by the fact that you were totally comfortable in letting your 12 and 15 year old boys come and go from the Waterfront.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Pembroke 403 in the not too distant future.
With every good wish.

Luxury home with a breathtaking view
We are a family of 4 ( with a son aged 20 and a daughter aged 4!) who were visiting Cape Town for a week. I had previously stayed at the Table Bay Hotel last Nov, when I was there on work, and hence keen on staying in V&A. From the time I heard from the owner ....Eilis, on mailing her about renting her apartment, I had a feeling our stay in cape town is going to be wonderful! And it was. Eilis is a wonderfully warm host..... and went way way out her way (!) to make our stay in Cape Town and her apartment memorable.
This was the first time we were staying in an apartment and not in a hotel and loved every moment of the flexibility and space that we had .... t'was a home away from home. Going from India where we have so much domestic help, was a tad worried about having to go about tidying the place and doing bathrooms etc.... however it is a fully serviced apartment and kept wonderfully clean.
Pembroke 403 offers you everything that a luxury 5 star hotel anywhere around Cape Town would .
The apartment is of exceptionally high standard. When one walks into the apartment, one is blown away by the splendid view of the marina and waterfront, the size and beauty of this carefully and lovingly furnished property. From the state of the art Bang & Olufsen TV & music system and lighting system to discerning furniture and artwork adorning the walls, this really is a property that you will love. Both the large Balconies have great views , 1 of which overlooks the marina and the waterfront complex and the other the magnificent Table Mountain.
The location of the apartment is great too... a very safe 5 minute walk to the main Waterfront complex ... 2 minutes to the One and Only Hotel ( lovely spa and some nice restaurants) and the Aquarium (amazing one... must visit!).
I recommend Pembroke 403 to everyone looking to visit Cape Town ... (my friends and family have seen our pics and swear they will be connecting with Eilis whenever they decide to go to cape town!).
Above all you will feel enriched having connected with Eilis!
“Extremely impressed with the apartment, the contents, style and scenic views”
I think that the apartment is superb as it is and does not need any further improvement, although it may be wise to convert the small TV lounge into a new bedroom in case you have 4 guests and require 3 bedrooms.
The location is fantastic with great views of the marina as well as the table mountain.
It is finished with very high end finishes. You may want to consider dual view DSTV as kids normally want to want to watch different programs to the adults.
The Bank & Olufsen music and TV system is great, maybe a little complicated and high tech for some, but we were OK with it because we have a B&O music system ourselves.
Response: Thank you so much Chandra.
I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I take your point about dual view DSTV and will look at it.
Re the 3rd bedroom v\'s second lounge: it was a conscious decision to opt against the 3rd bedroom despite having the space to do so. We felt that the open and extra space afforded by the 2nd lounge was more in keeping with what we wanted to create. However, we are cognisant of the fact that there are times when separate or additional sleeping accommodation is required. To this end and after much searching, we commissioned and shipped a pair of very smart day beds from Switzerland. These convert very simply to a pair of full comfort twin beds or a king bed on properly sprung bases in a very clever fashion. The guest wc and large shower room service this area.
We enjoyed interacting with you before your arrival and are thrilled that everything was just as good as we had led you to believe.
We look forward to welcoming you and your friends back to Pembroke 403 in the not too distant future.

Absolute Luxury
Having been a regular visitor to Cape Town for close to a decade now, my wife and I decided to stay in The Waterfront this year. We had previously stayed at The Cape Grace Hotel but in more recent times have enjoyed the flexibility and extra privacy that renting a villa or apartment can offer. With this in mind, it is with much fortune and luck that we discovered Pembroke 403.
For those travellers who don't mind paying that little bit more than normal, then look know further. Pembroke 403 offers you everything that a luxury 5 star hotel anywhere around Cape Town would but MORE and is surprisingly priced at relatively the same level despite the additional offerings that Pembroke 403 has.
From the moment you deal with Eilis (the owner of apartment) in making the booking, you are left with the feeling that this is certainly going to be a property that is of an exceptionally high standard. This initial impression certainly doesn't waiver upon meeting Andre/Roscoe who check you into the apartment. When walking into the apartment, one is blown away by the sheer size and beauty of this carefully and lovingly furnished property. From the Bang & Olufsen TV's through to the beautiful artwork adorning the walls, this really is a property that you will love. Added to the 2 large balconies, 1 of which overlooks the marina and the waterfront complex and the other perfect for some afternoon sun whilst reading a book or taking a drink and looking at the magnificent Table Mountain views.
The apartment is well located to take advantage of everything that Cape Town has to offer. It takes advantage of having the One and Only Hotel within a 2 minute stroll for those that would like to take advantage of the luxurious spa and/or the 2 fantastic restaurants in-house (Nobu and Reubens). Guests are also within a very safe 5 minute walk to the main Waterfront complex that offers various forms of shopping and entertainment for all budgets. Additionally, the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are within a 10-15 minute drive for those sunlovers.
All in all, I would not hesitate recommending Pembroke 403 to anyone that was looking for a luxurious and spacious apartment that has everything that a top grade hotel does and yet more - you will be not regret it and I hope that you can enjoy your stay as much as both my wife and I did on our visit to CT in Jan 2012.
Response: Thank you Sean for your most generous comments about our Cape Town jewel. We have put a huge amount of effort and love into making Pembroke 403 just about as perfect as possible and we constantly try to add little extra touches each time we visit. We try to ensure that our guests get as much pleasure from their stay as we do ourselves when we are lucky enough to be in Cape Town. It is so nice to get feedback like yours and we are really delighted that you has such a good time. We look forward to welcoming you back to Pembroke 403 in the not too distant future. Meanwhile, take good care of yourself and your good wife.
"Absolute Luxury"
Everything about Pembroke 403 is pure class. From the sophisticated decor and breath taking views to the perfect location and numerous local attractions, this was a holiday like no other. All dealings with management was flawless including booking, arrival and any queries throughout the stay. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully decorated, with the front facing onto the beautiful V&A waterfront and the rear looking at the famous Table Mountain. It has everything one could want including little extra details including a high tech lighting system and surround sound. The apartment is also perfectly located less then a 5 minute walk away from the main V&A which has a multitude of beautiful restaurants, bars and shops. Pembroke 403 is a little piece of paradise and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Luxury at its best in superb location in Cape Town
We spent a wonderful Christmas and New Year break in Cape Town at Pembroke403. We had done our homework on the location before the trip but everything exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were well looked after and as we entered the apartment we realised that this is the place to be! The front views are stunning . The kids enjoyed waking up each morning to the rear views of the ever-changing Table Mountain. The apartment was out of this world. Every detail has been well thought out from the stunning art work to the wonderful lighting system. Not to mention the superbly kitted out kitchen and cool cotton sheets. It all added up to a relaxing, luxurious and memorable holiday. They have got it just right . Due to the attention to detail we never felt we were in a rented apartment - it seemed more like we were staying as guests of special friends.
What an Absolute Pleasure!
We stayed at Pembroke 403 in February this year. What an absolute pleasure! The managing agents were great and just a phone call away. The apartment is wonderfully styled with lovely decor. We felt so comfortable and at home in this exquisite apartment. We sat sipping sundowners on the balcony watching the yatch’s coming in and out of the marina listening to our music on the B&O sound system. We will definately visit this apartment again!!.
Response: Many thanks for this Nicholas. I’m so glad you enjoyed it – it really is a very special place.
Hard to beat this in Cape Town
This was just the most wonderful break ever! Pembroke 403 is a little piece of heaven tucked away in the Waterfront, quiet and ultra luxurious! So great to be close to some of the best restaurants and shopping in the country, yet I felt away from it all.
The apartment is superbly furnished, with SUCH style, and it has the most fantastic views! Just loved waking up to the seals grunting and seeing the waterfront come alive in the distance. Its just simply amazing, cant wait for my next visit! Highly recommended!
\"Location, location, stunning views and sheer class\"
Location, exquisite decor, and the very best Waterfront views mixed with superb vacation management make for a great holiday. During our stay, we had the feeling that we were taking care of a prized asset, as opposed to a packaged vacation venue. Attention to detail within the apartment is exceptional, such as mood lighting, B&O sound in all rooms, climate control and the comprehensive wine service. The interaction with the owners prior, during and post our stay made it all the more memorable.
\"Excellent views & Luxury Accomodation\"
We stayed here for a week in February. 5 Adults and 1 Toddler. On arrival we were shown through the security gates to Pembroke. We had underground car parking for 2 cars and a lift direct to our floor. Pembroke 403 has 2 en suite bedrooms and a spare room with a bed and another shower room with toilet. The room at the back overlooked Table Mountain with a balcony. The main bedroom overlooks the Waterfront with sliding doors leading to the most awesome view. We shared this room with our 18 month old toddler. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath, seperate shower and toilet.
The kitchen and seperate laundry room have everything you need with wonderful views over the Waterfront. Our lounge had really comfortable couches and a big flat screen TV with satelite, our toddler loved it. The lounge had sliding doors leading to the large balcony with 2 sun loungers and seating for 6. Most evenings we watched the world go by having a few cocktails on the balcony.
Pembroke 403 is in the Waterfront Complex, at night we would exit the security gates at the One & Only Hotel, cross the canal and take a 5 minute walk to the Waterfront Restaurants and Shops. There are so many Restaurants to try, all tastes are catered for. You can even get Take Aways delivered to your door.
We tried the swimming pool and had loads of fun with our son, the weather is so hot, there is also a gym. Cape Town Aquarium is next door to the One & Only, we went there every day with our son. It has a lovely cafe and kids play room.
We had such a fantastic holiday in Cape Town and all so look forward to returning to the luxurious and sophisticated Pembroke 403.

The best accommodation in Cape Town's Waterfront
It is difficult to find fault in this superb accommodation - it\'s luxuriously furnished, perfectly situated, well serviced, incredibly spacious, and extremely comfortable. All facilities you can expect from 6 star accommodation are available in this apartment and on your doorstep. This is a \'\'gem\'\' nestled in the best marina in Africa and an absolute \'\'must\' when visiting South Africa\'s famous Cape Town.
